N O P T I O N S . D O C
-----------------------
This file instructs you on how to change the options settings file called
OPTIONS.FIL so that you may use the values and settings that you are most
comfortable with and the ones that will allow NUMERUNA.EXE to work with
your particular printer. The different options are listed below. For
each option, follow the guidelines specified in order to select the
particular settings and values you want. Edit OPTIONS.FIL with any word
processor or text editor remembering to save the file in pure ASCII
format. Be sure NEVER to let your option setting or value extend past 7
characters, letters or numbers total. Column 9 must always be a
semicolon.
OPTION #1 - OPTION #2 - not assigned yet.
OPTION #3 - This option allows you to select all 'Y''s in the name as
consonants or whether the user will be given his choice as to whether each
'Y' is a consonant or a vowel. A value of 0 for this option means that
all 'Y''s in the name will be analyzed as consonants and a value of 1 for
this option means that the user will select, for each occurence of a 'Y'
in the name, whether that 'Y' will be analyzed as a consonant or as a
vowel. Default value is 1 (user chooses whether a 'Y' is a consonant or a
vowel).
OPTION #4 - This option allows you to select what year the transits and
essences of the progressed chart start at. A value of 0 for this option
selects year 0 and a value of 1 for this option selects year 1. Default
value is 1.
OPTION #5 - This option allows you to select your printer type. Option 0
selects a non-IBM printer and option 1 selects an IBM ProPrinter. Default
value is 0.
OPTION #6 - Number of lines on a printed page. Default value is 60 lines
per page. This option is not used yet in the program, so the setting makes
no difference.
NOTE: For the next four options (#7 - #10) you need do nothing if your
printer is Epson compatible. Check your printer manual for details. All
option setting numbers shown for these options are in decimal.
OPTION #7 - This value is your printer's code for the FORM FEED command.
Default value is 12.
OPTION #8 - This value is your printer's code for the BEGIN COMPRESSED
PRINTING command. Default value is 15.
OPTION #9 - This value is your printer's code for the END COMPRESSED
PRINTING or BEGIN 10 CHARACTERS PER INCH (10 CPI) PRINT command. Default
value is 18.
OPTION #10 - This value is your IBM ProPrinter's next code after the
ESCAPE code (ESC = 27) for the 10 CHARACTERS PER INCH (10 CPI) PRINT
command. Default value is 80.
